You have had a PhD for 8 years maximum and you are looking to enhance your career development and prospects by working abroad? An MSCA Post-Doctoral Fellowship may be your solution.
The Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) provide grants for the early stage of a researcher’s career and encourage transnational, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility. The MSCA aim to equip researchers with the necessary skills and international experience for a successful career, either in the public or private sector. The applicant researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host institution for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline.
What does it fund?
The grant usually covers two year’s salary, a mobility allowance, research costs and overheads for the host institution.

Types of Post-Doctoral Fellowships
- European Fellowship: for individual researchers undertaking international mobility.
- Global Fellowship: for researchers who undertake mobility outside Europe for a period between 12 and 24 months, with a mandatory 12-months return period to Europe.
