Organisation

Under the presidency of François Houllier, the Chief Executive Officer of IFREMER, the Institute is composed of:

• A Scientific Board and four Scientific Departments (Department of Biological Resources and Environment, Department of Physical Resources and Deep-Sea Ecosystems, Department of Oceanography and Ecosystem Dynamics, and Department of Marine and Digital Infrastructures)
• 5 Centres (English Channel-North Sea Centre, Brittany Centre, Atlantic Centre, Mediterranean Centre and Pacific Centre)
• Operations and Scientific Support Divisions (Scientific Information, Communication, Media Relations and Institutional Relations; European and International Affairs; Human Resources; Legal Affairs; Financial Affairs & Management Accounting; Development, Technology Transfer and Corporate Relations; Marine Facilities & Operations).
